We are seeking a Mid-Senior Level Engineer/Project Manager to join our existing regional engineering team by starting and leading a civil engineering group and practice in the South Carolina area. This “start up” will have the regional support of our GA, NC, and VA offices as well as being a vital part of Tetra Tech. This position will be part of a dynamic regional team of engineers, scientists, and technicians engaged in a variety of projects providing planning, design, and engineering services focused on stormwater management, water/wastewater infrastructure design and improvements, land development, and/or construction services in the water resources area of practice in civil engineering. Our civil engineering department across the region works to be flexible and engaged at the local, regional, and national levels. This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. The Foreman provides leadership to operators and technicians, oversees machine performance, and ensures smooth workflow across shifts. This position requires specific training which will be in Europe. All expenses will be covered. *Key Responsibilities:* * Supervise and lead production staff on the continuous rod line, assigning duties and monitoring performance. * Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality and minimizing downtime. * Monitor and oversee the operation of continuous rod production equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arise. * Conduct routine inspections of machinery and coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions. * Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, and records of output and downtime. * Provide training, coaching, and support to operators and technicians to improve skills and productivity. * Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve production bottlenecks. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes. *Qualifications & Skills:* * Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred). 3–5 years of experience in continuous rod, wire, or similar process-based manufacturing. * Strong knowledge of rod production processes, casting, rolling mills, and related equipment. * Supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment. * Ability to interpret technical specifications and production parameters. * Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. * Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and efficiency. Work Work conditions: Plant-based, with regular supervision on the production floor. Shift work required (day/night) with potential overtime.
