Job Responsibilities Ombudsman Coordinator II The Department of Administration's (Admin) Office of Executive Policy and Programs is seeking an Ombudsman Coordinator II to join the team. The Office of Ombudsman acts as a facilitator in guiding citizens to government resources that will address their issues. Responsibilities of the Ombudsman Coordinator II: Resolve constituent concerns by phone, email or in person by listening to issues, research if necessary and make the appropriate referral. Provide appropriate follow-up as needed. Track case and update as necessary using constituent tracking system. Keep director abreast of trending or concerning issues. In partnership with the program director and/or ombudsman's office team lead, assist with complex casework involving state agencies and federal referrals. Coordinate with Department of Mental Health liaison and/or State Law Enforcement Division on sensitive and/or complex safety referrals. Sort incoming correspondence to the Governor/Lt. Governor, and properly scan, log and assign to the appropriate staff member. Work with ombudsman staff to coordinate assignment and reassignments and potential responses. Assist with the production of FOIA request from the Governor's Office. Assist the Director with special projects within the Office of Executive Policy and Programs. Prepare and research correspondence to include letters, proclamation, and special awards for signature. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Valid, state-issued driver’s license with a safe driving record is required. Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, machinery, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Represent Blanchard Machinery by consistently exhibiting a professional manner, arriving on time and communicating with the customer throughout the repair process. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of heavy equipment experience required. Previous experience on CAT equipment is a plus. Must demonstrate knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures. Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance service manuals. Possess advanced working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems. Ability to operate lifting devices. Ability to use diagnostic equipment Familiarization of electronic cables, connections, and sensors Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills are required. A demonstrated commitment to accuracy, organization and ability to prioritize tasks is required. Possess strong problem solving skills, have the ability to set and keep priorities and be able to handle stress associated with a fast paced environment and deadlines. Working Conditions The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials. Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
