This position reports directly to the Print Manager and plays a key role in managing complex printing operations to support the agency's internal and external communication needs.Job duties will include, but are not limited to: Print Operations & FulfillmentOperate and manage complex print jobs, including high-volume and high-sensitivity projects.Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders through effective communication and coordination.Leadership & SupervisionAct as lead worker or supervisor in the absence of the Print Manager.Direct daily print shop operations and staff to ensure continuity of services and consistent output quality.Production & Resource ManagementMonitor production schedules and prioritize workloads to meet critical deadlines.Coordinate equipment usage and maintain inventory of supplies to support uninterrupted operations.Process Improvement & Workplace StandardsIdentify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce staff workload.Support efforts to maintain a safe, clean, and organized print production environment.Additional DutiesPerform other duties as required, including participation in emergency response or activation efforts.Provide support in other functional areas of the Support Services Section to meet operational needs. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a print shop environment, including hands-on experience with high-volume printing equipment and production processes. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple print projects simultaneously while consistently meeting tight deadlines. Experience coordinating with internal customers and contributing effectively as part of a production team is essential. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required, along with the ability to troubleshoot printing issues and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. JOB Employs Highway Safety Manual methodologies to quantify, prioritize, and evaluate SCDOT projects and programs. Processes requests for safety data and analysis for SCDOT personnel and consultants to obtain necessary data to effectively carry out the duties of the Safety Office. Utilizes the research and analysis of safety data to guide SCDOT project planning and investment decisions towards successful strategies and countermeasures to improve safety of the state's roadways. Serves as representative of traffic engineering with other departments at SCDOT planning and scoping meetings as well as public information meetings. Reviews and processes applications for the Roadside Memorial Program. Researches and analyzes data to aid in the development, evaluation, and update of the State's Strategic Highway Safety Plan to confirm the validity of the emphasis areas and strategies. Performs other related duties as assigned.
