Highway Maintenance Worker III Crew Leader (61033929)
Job Responsibilities At Lexington Maintenance, acts as crew leader on the county wide ditching crew to ensure work is done according to procedures. Keeps a log of work completed, equipment used and time spent to enable foreman to complete daily work report. Assist other workers in proper procedures and train others as needed. This includes keeping the crew busy and productive, keeping up with work performed, completing daily work reports and completing time sheets. Information is entered into the HMMS system. Leads crew in ditching operation county-wide in advance of A-treatment and resurfacing. Equipment used in this operation will be a motorgrader to cut, grade, and/or fill the shoulders, and clean out the ditches. A belt loader to load the material (dirt, grass and refuse) into trucks to haul material away. Leads crew in the traffic control to ensure safety of equipment, co-workers, and the general public. Job Responsibilities At Lexington Maintenance, operates a tandem dump truck to haul debris and asphalt. Verifies the gas and follows preventive maintenance program daily. Ensures the tarp is in place and all loose materials are removed from the sides of the truck and tail gate before operation begins. Operates the Injection Patcher, trailer mounted, in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures proper preventative maintenance is done in accordance with SCDOT Fleet Safety and manufacturers operation manual. Patches pot holes by cutting out area, adding tac and asphalt, then tamping for a good seal. Paves driveways and turning lanes using good techniques. Uses shovel and other hand tools to ensure the area is level and that all loose material has been removed. Sets up traffic control devices such as cones and signs for work zone safety to the South Carolina Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Flags traffic according to standards ensuring that all safety attire is worn at all times. Works with a crew in the installation of sideline, cross line, and driveway pipe. Cleans out ditches with a shovel and level ditch line before placing pipe. Ensures all pipe is laid to allow water to flow properly and that the pipe is sealed. Area should be dressed before leaving the job site. Field Service Technician Bending
To support customers with (but not limited to) Amada Press Brakes. This includes installation, service, operational training, networking, programming training, software training, application training, and bending automation training. The duties are not exclusive of performing the same functions for Punch Press, Shears and other general fabricating machines, including automated material loading/unloading machines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Proficient in trouble shooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems as well as networks. Able to precisely follow layout drawings and blue prints used in the installation of equipment. Complete status (service) reports on a daily basis and expense reports on a weekly basis. The ability to communicate in the English language. Excellent customer relations and follow through. Managing the total equipment installation process at Customer site entailing use of hand tools, climbing, bending, stooping. Operation, applications, software, and part programming capabilities, and customer training of such. Use of Amada applications software used in line control and part programming.
