Explore Opportunities Today A day in the life of a Land Development Manager: Life as a Land Development Manager is fulfilling and fast-paced, as it’s your job to supervise all land development field activities. You will be the support system, ensuring all assigned projects meet governmental standards and specifications. Most days you will work in the field, coordinating with internal and external teams on land development and homebuilding activities to meet neighborhood level goals and objectives and ensuring the completion of land development improvements for bond reductions and release. Job Summary: General Maintenance Tech The General Maintenance Tech will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Duties/Responsibilities: Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Lowboy – Truck Driver
General Description The Lowboy – Truck Driver is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described below. The Lowboy – Truck Driver’s primary function is to safely load, secure and transport construction equipment to be moved from one location to another. Key Duties Hold valid Class “A” CDL license and driving record within MVR policy. Required to obtain and hold approved medical examiners certificate (FMCSR part 391.41), for duration of employment and in accordance with Class “A” CDL License requirements. Safe and Efficient operation of Tractor/Trailer combination; including airbrakes, in driving on public and private roadways. Drive Tractor-Trailer combination, in order to transport construction equipment to/from assigned location(s). Must have familiarity with the safe, basic operation of construction and/or paving equipment, in order to load onto trailer. Familiarity with applicable FMCSA and USDOT safety and operation regulations, including cargo/load securement. Ability to calculate weights of equipment with truck/trailer combo to stay within DOT permitting restrictions and guidelines Visually assess placement and securement of equipment, to ensure secured load, for safe transport. Perform pre/post-shift safety checks through visual inspection of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel indicators, as well as visual check for leaks and damage to vehicle before operation. Ability to visually and physically inspect the mechanical, safety and operational components, for operating defects; including completion of Pre/Post trip Driver Vehicle Inspection Report(s). During Operation, visually interpret vehicle indicator(s) for fluid levels including oil, water and fuel. Responsible for notifying supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired Verbally communicate, with Dispatch and/or Supervisor, on frequent basis. Interpret and Follow Dispatched Routing/Map(s), for pick up and/or delivery of equipment. Responsible for notifying supervisor, immediately, if vehicle is in need of repair(s). Able to work day or night shifts as required Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts General. Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequent ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., moving equipment, backing alarms, or other alarms, instructions/directions from supervisor and/or spotter). Coordinate sales efforts with asphalt team members and other departments. Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports. Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. Lowboy – Truck Driver
General Description The Lowboy – Truck Driver is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described below. The Lowboy – Truck Driver’s primary function is to safely load, secure and transport construction equipment to be moved from one location to another. Key Duties Hold valid Class “A” CDL license and driving record within MVR policy. Required to obtain and hold approved medical examiners certificate (FMCSR part 391.41), for duration of employment and in accordance with Class “A” CDL License requirements. Safe and Efficient operation of Tractor/Trailer combination; including airbrakes, in driving on public and private roadways. Drive Tractor-Trailer combination, in order to transport construction equipment to/from assigned location(s). Must have familiarity with the safe, basic operation of construction and/or paving equipment, in order to load onto trailer. Familiarity with applicable FMCSA and USDOT safety and operation regulations, including cargo/load securement. Ability to calculate weights of equipment with truck/trailer combo to stay within DOT permitting restrictions and guidelines Visually assess placement and securement of equipment, to ensure secured load, for safe transport. Perform pre/post-shift safety checks through visual inspection of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel indicators, as well as visual check for leaks and damage to vehicle before operation. Ability to visually and physically inspect the mechanical, safety and operational components, for operating defects; including completion of Pre/Post trip Driver Vehicle Inspection Report(s). During Operation, visually interpret vehicle indicator(s) for fluid levels including oil, water and fuel. Responsible for notifying supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired Verbally communicate, with Dispatch and/or Supervisor, on frequent basis. Interpret and Follow Dispatched Routing/Map(s), for pick up and/or delivery of equipment. Responsible for notifying supervisor, immediately, if vehicle is in need of repair(s). Able to work day or night shifts as required Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts General. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Lowboy – Truck Driver. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Must hold a valid Class A CDL license, including current medical card. A minimum of (3) years CMV and/or other related Driving experience required. Three (3) to five (5) years of industry related experience in hauling heavy equipment, preferred Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Lowboy – Truck Driver to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent sitting and driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle; using hands, arms and legs/feet to safely maneuver and control the vehicle using a steering wheel, turn signal, horn, foot pedals and other operational controls. Periodic standing and walking on typically hard, level surfaces, to conduct visual assessments of secured equipment, including drop off areas and general vehicle walk-around inspections. Stepping up/down, approx. 2’, using access step(s) and three points of contact to access/egress to/from the vehicle cab and trailer, periodically throughout the day. Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequent ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., moving equipment, backing alarms, or other alarms, instructions/directions from supervisor and/or spotter). Periodic lifting/pushing/pulling of up to 25 lbs weight; including manual dexterity to handle securement chains, straps and tie downs. Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Dump Truck Driver encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project. Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery. Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites or equipment shop such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and asphalt. Asphalt Roller Operator
General Description. Responsible for the operation of various smooth drum or rubber tire roller(s), in order to compact and/or smooth asphalt surfaces, during asphalt laydown operations. Key Duties Safely operates roller to achieve identified asphalt and roadway surface compaction requirements, as defined by the contract/owner specifications Determines speed and direction of roller, based on compaction specifications; typically at the direction and under the guidance of the Asphalt Laydown Foreman and/or Superintendent. Works closely with other crew members using hand signals and verbal communication, to coordinate work and ensure safety. Maintains visual contact, with those working around equipment, at all times; to ensure safe proximity from obstacles and or workers on foot. Performs daily roller inspection and identifies maintenance concerns to their supervisor and/or equipment, to ensure that roller is in safe, proper working. Other duties, may be assigned, based on specific job necessity. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees. Physical Demands. Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, with intermittent breaks throughout a shift. Infrequent, ability to stand and/or walk on smooth asphalt surface. Intermittent, ability to use 3 points of contact, to climb/step up 1-4 roller steps/rungs spaced <18” apart; using grab bar. Intermittent, ability to turn head to look over shoulder while backing. Frequent ability to grip and hold steering wheel and/or operate hand controls. Frequent ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions. Frequent ability to wear a lap seat belt. Infrequent ability to work in environments that may require hearing protection (over 85 decibels). Frequent ability to work near heavy equipment and moving machinery. Frequent ability to communicate effectively with co-workers about job tasks and hazards and to relay rescue information to emergency responders if required. Ability to be cleared to wear a respirator. Work Environment.
