About the Role We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery–Packaging to join our team at our West Columbia, South Carolina bakery. As an Operator 1, you will support the packaging process by operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment that aligns with our manufacturing standards. About the Role We are seeking a Production Coordinator – Technical Focus to join our team at our Cayce bakery. This role combines production coordination with technical responsibilities to ensure reliable operations, minimize downtime, and optimize startup performance. Shift & Schedule Shift: 3rd Shift Hours: 9:45PM – 6:15AM Weekend Availability: Required Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing) Production Coordination & Documentation Verify staffing levels and ensure all positions are filled. Provide backup coverage for vacant positions during the shift. Oversee machinery, equipment, and personnel during assigned shift. Report directly to Production Supervisor and collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor. Shift-Specific Technical Responsibilities (3rd Shift) Prepare equipment for startup operations, including belt installation and setup tasks. Remove and reinstall conveyor belts for sanitation and proper alignment. Complete basic preventive maintenance activities. Ensure equipment readiness for 1st shift operations. Transition to 4:00 AM startup support role to assist maintenance. Preventive Maintenance & Downtime Prevention Perform belt tension checks to prevent jams.
