Job Responsibilities At Lexington Maintenance, operates a tandem dump truck with a trailer hauling equipment such as a backhoe, small bobcat, front-end loader and a cone trailer equipped with traffic cones and barricades; used in the maintenance of bridges and roads. Assists to operate heavy duty backhoe to clean out berm and/or outfall ditches for drainage, shoulder regrading to facilitate roadside repair, cleaning sideline and driveway ditches, and laying crossline pipes for proper distribution of water from roadway. Make sure pipe is in the proper position and seal joint with cement. Area is filled with dirt and leveled out. Job site will be cleaned up of debris and all tools and excess material loaded on the truck. Operates a 5 yard truck/trailer to haul materials to and from the job site. Operates truck to pick up material from the vendor and takes to job site or stock pile at section shed. Performs preventive maintenance on truck and keeps neat. Maintains record of this information. Works with crew in the installation of driveways, laying cross line and side line pipes, and cleaning drainage ditches. Grade ditches and driveways with shovel to get a level surface. Clean debris up before leaving job site. Mix cement and seal joints of pipe. Flags traffic in low and high volume areas for the safety of crew, equipment, and motorist. Safety equipment and attire are used and worn at all times. Place traffic control devices according to the South Carolina Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Job Responsibilities At District One Bridge Maintenance, will be responsible for the sampling of materials, bridge survey and layout, computing bearing calculations and pile cut off elevations. Maintains preventive maintenance records on all equipment. Operates lowboy tractor/trailer to transport crane to job site. Operates specialty equipment such as boom truck, crane, and snooper truck. Leads District Bridge Maintenance crew in the absence of the foreman. Assists with ensuring crew operates efficiently to complete construction activities in a timely manner and ensures work is in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), DHEC (Department of Health and Environmental Control), and SCDOT policies and procedures. In absence of the foreman, performs administrative duties such as time and leave, EPMS (Employee Performance Management System), and disciplinary action enforcement. Supervises crew in construction and maintenance of bridges, reads and understands bridge construction plans and specifications to produce a high quality product. Assists with organizing manpower, equipment, and materials. Helps ensure equipment is properly maintained in accordance with established guidelines. Assists with completion of reports and forms including asbestos survey, DHEC demolition request, soil borings, bridge construction reports, final construction reports, etc. Performs work in the correction of bridge deficiencies and supervises and assists crew members. This requires communication with each county Resident Maintenance Engineer (RME) and his/her designees throughout the district. Assists with maintaining necessary records on bridge construction projects. This includes but not limited to reports on work production, materials used, pile bearing records, equipment hour and mileage usage, and daily work reports entered into HMMS (Highway Maintenance Management System). Assists with requisitioning and payment of materials through proper procurement procedures. Assists with surveying and layout of new bridge for proper alignment, calculating correct pile lengths and bearing capacities, calculating cutoff elevations, and initial site visits for schedule creation. Maintains certifications as required for operation of lattice-boom crane for use in the removal and construction of maintenance level bridges. The Broker Technician works under the general direction of the USAT Broker, resolving moderately complex service-related issues and escalating more complex matters when necessary. Responsibilities include supporting client and retail agent communication, managing insurance policy processes and workflows, maintaining productivity and service standards, completing data and correspondence management, and providing general account and administrative support for a limited book of small, monoline accounts. Key Responsibilities: Account Support: Supports assigned accounts, meeting performance requirements for production, quality, and service, ensuring no liability from errors and omissions. Customer Service: Delivers outstanding customer service, maintaining frequent and professional communication, and responding quickly to service requests. Work Ethic: Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to assist others. New Business Processing: Manages intake of new business submissions, setting up accounts in Epic, reviewing documentation, ordering loss runs, and securing required information. Renewal Management: Supports renewals by collecting required information, issuing renewal letters, and preparing renewal activities per SOP timelines. Policy Transactions: Processes policy transactions accurately and within required timeframes, including new and renewal policies, midterm changes, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and Agent of Record changes. Email Management: Manages USAT email inboxes, forwarding emails to appropriate individuals and logging submissions timely, and processing change requests promptly. Marketing & Quoting: Assists in marketing, quoting, proposing, and binding new and renewal business for small, monoline accounts. Marketing Administration: Prepares policy binders and supports accurate, timely policy invoicing. Workflow Tracking: Monitors Epic activities and action items, ensuring timely task completion and follow-up. Correspondence Management: Manages incoming mail, faxes, and other correspondence. Data Management: Maintains agency management system, ensuring data is complete, clearly presented, accurate, and up-to-date. Action Items: Monitors and maintains pending action items (Epic activities), ensuring completion within required timeframes. Billing Assistance: Addresses moderately complex billing questions and escalates advanced issues to the Broker. Training Support: Supports the training and development of Broker Assistants by sharing knowledge of workflows and systems. Performance Monitoring: Monitors individual performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met, taking corrective actions when required. Compliance and Development: Ensures compliance with USAT program guidelines and standard operating procedures, and grows technical competence and industry knowledge through training and professional development.
