Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sorting and Processing: Sort, classify, and process all hotel linens, uniforms, towels, and laundry items according to established guidelines. Inspect stains, damages, or necessary repairs before laundering. Operating Laundry Equipment: Operate industrial washing machines, dryers, pressers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely. Follow proper procedures for loading and unloading laundry, adjusting machine settings, and using laundry chemicals. Stain Treatment: Identify and treat stains on different fabrics using appropriate stain removal techniques and products before laundering. Folding & Packaging: Fold, stack, and package laundered items neatly according to hotel standards to ensure a professional and presentable appearance. Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies. Track stock levels and promptly report shortages or damages to the supervisor. Education, Skills and Abilities: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Prior experience in laundry operations or a similar role is preferred. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment, stain removal techniques, and laundry chemicals. Attention to Details: Ability to identify stains, damage, and quality issues in linens. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift and carry heavy laundry items, and work in warm conditions. Organizational Skills: Strong time management and ability to work efficiently. Team Player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with hotel staff. Communication: Basic communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
