About the Position The Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing the work of associates in the warehouse/distribution environment. This position is responsible for the safety and quality of work for departments and areas of responsibility. Functions Determine work volume, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow to ensure maximum cost effectiveness within the department. Assign duties and examine work for quality, neatness, and conformity to policies and procedures. Schedule job assignments for periodic and/or special inventories. Monitor, direct, and (when necessary), perform, the accurate shipping of outbound orders. Issue written and oral instructions to associates as needed or required. Ensure associate accountability in accordance with corporate standard operating procedures. Work to maintain harmony among associates and resolve grievances. Manage employee time including edits and corrections Mentor and coach associates, including corrective actions as well as performance evaluations. Assume responsibility for monitoring zoning and product database development during the receiving process. Perform training of policies, procedures, and Standard Works to ensure processes are followed. Assist Safety Advocate with all aspects of Safety Program and participate on the Safety Committee. Assist in the development of processes and process improvements. Misc. tasks as assigned by the General Manager Qualifications Bachelor degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college; or equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or related required. Minimum of six months supervisory experience PC and computer skills including Microsoft Office. This position is responsible for reporting, physical inventory, and system audits and for utilizing the inventory management system to prepare and track materials and products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs. Various sites may require additional support based on the nature of the business. This could include, but is not limited to, product holds/releases, recalls, and returns. In addition, specific practices and/or regulations may exist (i.e. food safety). Functions Maintain perpetual inventory of materials and products and generates applicable inventory reports. Perform daily cycle count activities and inventory audits and track and monitor all damaged product in inventory; provide necessary reports to leadership. Verify clerical inventory records against physical inventory counts; investigates and reports discrepancies. May coordinate product recalls, holds/releases, product infestation audits. May monitor pest control program if required at site. If responsible for quality functions: Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times (i.e. SQFI, FDA or other customer needs). Facilitates quality/regulated training and coordinates the sites quality management program. Maintains the sites quality management portal and may draft/revise site SOPs as needed. Qualifications High School or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Based on the site, industry specific (i.e. food grade) experience may be required. Familiar with ISO requirements preferred. The job is responsible to coach and train teammates to fulfill their individual daily tasks in addition to the Lead’s own tasks. The Lead may have various responsibilities based on the specific department, this can include, but is not limited to shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions or material handling operators (i.e. forklift operators). The lead will provide backup to the supervisor as needed. Functions Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training. Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations. Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution such as clamp/slip sheet equipment; load, unload, and store materials/products in designated areas. Complete applicable paperwork (i.e. shipping/tracking labels) per standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, IATA, IMDG, etc.) Participate in inventory/cycle count activities as needed and report variances to leadership. Perform daily safely inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs. Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor Ensure product rotation procedures are followed. Review and Analyze daily production reports. Serve as backup to other warehouse roles, as needed. Depending on specific department other duties may apply. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment. About the Position The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Powered Industrial Equipment. The Forklift Operator is responsible for utilizing the lift equipment to move, load, unload, and stack products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs. Functions Safely operate Powered Industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution such as standard sit-down or stand-up forklifts, clamp, and picker equipment. Load, unload, and store products and/or materials Stack and/or transport materials and products to designated areas. Use equipment to scan product and print labels. Complete paperwork and operate inventory management systems as needed. Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
