Job Responsibilities At Lexington Maintenance, operates a tandem dump truck to haul debris and asphalt. Verifies the gas and follows preventive maintenance program daily. Ensures the tarp is in place and all loose materials are removed from the sides of the truck and tail gate before operation begins. Operates the Injection Patcher, trailer mounted, in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures proper preventative maintenance is done in accordance with SCDOT Fleet Safety and manufacturers operation manual. Cleans out ditches with a shovel and level ditch line before placing pipe. Ensures all pipe is laid to allow water to flow properly and that the pipe is sealed. Area should be dressed before leaving the job site. Ensures that all extra material and tools are picked up and placed back on truck.Assists to operate a combination backhoe and front-end loader to load materials needed in maintenance of bridges and roads.
