SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The Division of Technology Services is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting multiple mission-critical applications for the Department of Social Services. This position will also assist in enhancing the agency’s facilities and network documentation efforts and contribute to a dashboard-driven view of agency assets. This position reports directly to the Senior Network Architect. Duties/Responsibilities: Install and implement LAN and wireless infrastructure including switches, cabling, APs, and other components. Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex network issues and implement root cause prevention. Monitor and optimize network performance, document incident resolution paths. Maintain and update SOPs, diagrams, and technical documentation. Assist in hardware/network design, configuration, and infrastructure planning. Maintain a complete and updated network equipment inventory and assist in lifecycle planning. Evaluate new networking technologies and provide integration recommendations. Facilities and Dashboard Support Tasks: Collaborate with Facilities and Finance to update the master inventory of DSS locations, including: Property ownership (county/private/DSS lease) Address, county, square footage, network bandwidth. Parking details, access control systems Price/cost, DSS positions assigned to facility. Work directly with James on floor plan/system inventory updates. Add details to office floor plans including workstations and equipment placements. Produce and maintain a centralized dashboard (working jointly with relevant DTS staff) that: Displays all facility data. Provides links to floorplans (PDF/CAD) Pulls in DSS personnel count, facility components, and system data. Ensure facility data is well-documented and available in reportable format. Additional Project-Based Tasks: Perform physical audits and cleanup of network closets, labeling and organizing to industry standards. Update and maintain CAD/PDF “as-built” network diagrams, including cable pathways, patch panels, and rack layouts for all 68 DSS office locations. Conduct on-site cellular signal strength assessments using SIM-based tools to support SD-WAN carrier selection. Deliverables: Network closet audit reports (with before/after photos and patch documentation). Up-to-date floorplans with workstations and network layouts for 68 offices. Monthly summary of activities, hours worked, and progress. SOPs and documentation for patching and network closet standards. Dashboard implementation and associated facility data. Job Responsibilities Serves as program manager for planning, development and delivery of statewide bridge rehab, repair and preservation projects. Duties include coordination of preliminary project scoping/estimating, coordination between structural design-staff and engineering departments, project programming in P2S, reporting and general oversight during construction. Ensure projects are developed in accordance with internal processes and federal and state funding guidelines. Responsible for procurement and management/oversight of professional service contracts for bridge maintenance projects including scope writing, estimating, modifications and budget management. Assists in oversight, guidance and vision for the bridge program including strategic planning, project prioritization, internal/external resource allocation, goal tracking and reporting. Provides guidance and insight for development and enhancements to program delivery processes and applications including BrM and P2S. Assists in monitoring and oversight of bridge maintenance program budgets. Assists in administration of bridge maintenance vendor contracts and complex bridge contracts. Responds to District bridge maintenance repair requests and inquiries. Coordinates with bridge maintenance design staff to provide technical guidance and resources for in-house bridge crews. Assists in preparation, response and recovery for emergency events including reactionary repairs and natural disaster. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management and six (6) years of engineering or construction management work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required. The physical demands for the essential functions of this position involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. This position may require travel. This position may require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, and kneeling. This position required driving and walking for extended periods, treading rough and uneven terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and natural environmental hazards. Position Purpose: Provide Engineering support for the re-engineering of Common Rail Fuel Injectors and Pumps for Diesel Engines Job Responsibilities: Lead reverse-engineering of legacy and competitor injectors: dimensional analysis, material evaluation, CAD modeling, and tolerance studies. Develop and optimize remanufacturing processes for diesel injectors, including teardown, inspection, reconditioning, assembly, and calibration. Develop and coordinate the validation testing for new product launches Inspect sample of core for new products being evaluated to determine reusability and rework options for business case Provide engineering support and drive cost reduction of existing products Investigate the scope and risks associated with potential new product to assist in development of a business case Evaluate core and develop inspection documents for sorting out core for use in the remanufacturing of High-Pressure Fuel Pumps and/or Diesel Fuel Injectors Develop specifications where needed for the assembly and test of product Develop and track the DVP&R as part of the validation of remanufactured product Work with manufacturing engineering to develop rework methods and processes to maximize reuse of core components. New business initiatives investigations Mentor junior engineers and technicians; provide technical support to production and field service teams. Define performance specifications and ensure remanufactured injectors meet or exceed OEM standards and emissions requirements. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering field. 5–8+ years of experience with diesel fuel injection systems (common-rail, HEUI, or similar). Proven expertise in injector testing, calibration, and root-cause analysis. Strong knowledge of CAD, GD&T, and analysis tools (FEA, CFD a plus). Experience with ISO/IATF quality systems and process control methods. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
