About the role: As a PE Development Lab intern, you will contribute to the development of technical products and systems. You will report to the Structures & Fuel Assem Prod Design Manager and be at our Columbia location. This is a paid full-time onsite summer position. Key Responsibilities: Work with a team of engineers and technicians to test and analyze the performance of new fuel designs Apply engineering principles and engineering codes & standards, such as ASME and ANSI, to the design and evaluation of systems Read and interpret engineering drawings Help resolve technical issues for operating and new (i.e., AP1000) nuclear power plants Support engineers in the development of calculations and reports to document design and analysis results Learn new engineering topics through participation in technical seminars Work with engineers within and outside of the United States Qualifications: Pursue a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering Minimum GPA of 3.0 Complete Sophomore year of college We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
