Interested in joining us on our journey? The Test Loop Operator will report to the Assembly Manager of the facility and have responsibilities for water heater testing and inspection. In this role, the Test Loop Operator will perform testing on units to ensure the highest quality product is being delivered to our customers and perform other tasks and projects assigned by the Assembly Manager. Position Assembly - Test Loop Location USA, Camden, SC How You'll Create Possibilities Comply with all safety, quality, and procedure requirements noted in the applicable work instructions. Support projects to improve processes, gather data for analysis repairs and address repair failures. Operate in a LEAN manufacturing environment and provide feedback to management on resolution/ improvement ideas of current issues. Input test findings and other data into computer systems to for test results. Ensures that test loop’s organization and housekeeping, Performs test on water heaters to ensure units are working to standards. Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Assembly Manager and Zone Leaders. Identify quality issues and assist to resolution of issues with the production team. Proper communication in pre-shift and end-of-shift meetings, including accurate documentation. Operate basic hand tools (manual and automatic) for occasional and extended periods of time. Physical and visual inspection of product is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership. Verifies the information on the Manifest is matched to the tank, such as part numbers/ symbols. Other duties and responsibilities that Assembly Manager may assign. Required Qualifications: Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must possess the interpersonal skills to communicate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment effectively. Positive work ethic and attitude; willingness to learn and meet expectations of the various assignments. Dependability; demonstrate and maintain good attendance and punctuality. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to walk/stand throughout the entire shift without the need to sit down. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Obtain empty pallets and boxes to be moved to line with hand jack Identify and communicate problems with product packaging ensuring highest quality bags and cases Verify product code and bag counts if applicable Ensure proper documentation and pallet tags are completed Maintain area cleanliness to ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards Obtain work schedule and supplies from Supervisor required to perform daily tasks Observe flow of materials and listen for machine malfunctions, such as jamming or spillage Observe, feel, or otherwise examine products during and after processing to ensure conformance to standards. This position will be part of a team engaging with clients across the Utilities Market in support of client objectives in the areas of Stormwater/Wastewater/Water Design, H&H Modeling, Surface Water Quality, Data Analytics, Asset Management, and related studies and analyses. This position will perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Support various phases of our stormwater/wastewater/water projects Field work around water, freshwater and marine, expected to be 40-60% of time. Perform technical aspects of specified deliverables consistent with scope, schedule and budget. Meet internal and external project deadlines. Complying with clearly defined QA/QC measures. Communicates issues affecting phase/task or project schedule, budget or quality and escalates unresolved issues to project manager, team leader, and/or discipline leader. Delegating work to appropriate technical team members as necessary Qualifications Bachelor degree in an engineering or environmental science program Proven efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) Experience in AutoCad Civil 3D is preferred Experience in GIS software is preferred Stormwater plan review experience is preferred Desire to work in the field when needed, including wet weather conditions Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Bridge Inspector
RK&K has an immediate need for an experienced, career-minded Structural Engineer/Bridge Inspector to join our team in South Carolina. Your primary function will be to serve as an NBIS Bridge Inspection Team Leader for a diverse inventory of bridges and structures for our numerous clients. This position would be supporting work throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. You will be expected to immediately lead structural condition inspections of bridges and structures following NBIS and owner specific guidelines and develop detailed condition inspection reports. As time and workload require, you will prepare designs for bridges and other transportation related structures, buildings, and water/wastewater structures for a variety of projects and clients and provide preliminary concepts to final construction plans and construction phase reviews. Successful performance in this role will lead to potential rapid advancement into leadership and management roles in the condition inspection area where, in addition to continuing to serve as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, this individual would supervise other inspectors, regularly interact with clients and manage inspections assignments and/or contracts. Essential Functions NBIS Team Leader for Inspection Tasks Collaborate with the Bridge Inspection Program Manager to schedule daily activities of inspection staff and equipment Prepare detailed and accurate inspection reports in client preferred formats documenting findings, assessments, and recommendations Evaluate inspection reports generated by other Team Leaders or Inspectors for accuracy and completeness Design various structural elements of bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, and related structures Work closely with a diverse team across RK&K's portfolio, including engineers from different disciplines Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior engineers within the team Take a leadership role in managing task orders and projects as required Required Skills and Experience Four (4) years' experience in transportation related structural engineering, including bridge inspections Familiarity with bridge inspection reporting systems such as WIGINS, InspectTech, SAM, DBIR, ASIR, etc. and use of Element Level reporting Satisfy the requirements as an NBIS Team Leader per 23 CFR 650.309 Engineer Intern (EI) license required NBIS Bridge Inspection Training – NHI Courses 130055, 130053, 130078 (preferred), required; 130087, preferred. Experience with or willingness to learn structural design and CADD software such as: STADD Pro, Larsa4D, Leap Bridge Modules, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Openbridge and various other structural programs Effective, professional oral and written communication including coordination with vendors and the safe implementation of bridge inspection access equipment and traffic control required for bridge inspection activities Preferred Skills and Experience Master's degree in civil engineering or structural engineering Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
