The Field Testing Technician plays a critical role in supporting the Vehicle Engineering team through real-world testing, data collection, and validation of diagnostic software solutions. This position works closely with software and vehicle engineers to gather vehicle information, perform testing, capture logs, and help validate new diagnostic features and functionality across a wide range of diesel vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate is technically skilled in diesel diagnostics, comfortable working independently in the field, and professional when interacting with partner repair shops and customers. The Field Testing Technician plays a critical role in supporting the Vehicle Engineering team through real-world testing, data collection, and validation of diagnostic software solutions. This position works closely with software and vehicle engineers to gather vehicle information, perform testing, capture logs, and help validate new diagnostic features and functionality across a wide range of diesel vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate is technically skilled in diesel diagnostics, comfortable working independently in the field, and professional when interacting with partner repair shops and customers. This role involves regular travel to partner locations, hands-on vehicle diagnostics, and collaboration with engineering teams to improve software quality and functionality. Roles & Responsibilities Perform field testing and quality validation of diagnostic software on diesel vehicles and equipment. Work directly with Vehicle Engineering and software development teams to gather diagnostic data, reproduce issues, and validate software fixes. Travel regularly to partner repair facilities and customer locations to collect vehicle information, logs, and testing data. Operate diagnostic software and communication hardware on a variety of diesel vehicle platforms. Assist engineers with troubleshooting vehicle communication, diagnostic, and software-related issues. Capture and document test procedures, results, issues, and findings in an organized and detailed manner. Use task management and collaboration tools such as Jira to track assignments, testing progress, and reported issues. Maintain professional relationships with partner shops and customers while representing the company in the field. Manage daily operation and upkeep scheduling of assigned company vehicle.
