When materials are to be loaded into the mixer, the driver must be able to manipulate the Mixer Truck under concrete plant into the loading position. The driver has to understand the mixing procedure and adjust the speeds on the mixer accordingly. The driver must know what materials should be in the blend and check the work order to ensure delivery location and delivery of the proper mixture. All mixer truck drivers must hold a valid CDL and be competent in the safe operations and laws of a driving a CMV. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Job Duties This position requires the driver to make deliveries on-time to keep the project on schedule. Communicate delays or transport issues with your dispatcher or plant operator immediately. Must be agile and self-confident in operating the levers and chutes to dispense the mixture properly and evenly into the prepared frame or opening. Daily vehicle inspections reports (DVIR) must be completed as part of the job duties. Recognizing maintenance needs of the truck is also the driver’sresponsibility. Drivers will regularly spray the truck and mixer exteriors with a non-stick agent to prevent concrete build up and wash them after each delivery to remove concrete spills and splashes.
