The environmental education aid will support and facilitate nature-focused environmental education programs at both The Nature as Teacher Preserve for Education and off-site locations throughout Kershaw County. This position includes both informal facilitation with community groups of diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities, as well as formal instruction for K–12 students in alignment with South Carolina State Educational Standards. In addition to program delivery, the Environmental Education Aid will perform general maintenance and support tasks, such as: Weeding and maintaining outdoor learning spaces Cleaning and organizing program materials Assisting with events and outreach efforts Completing other duties as assigned This role is an essential part of our mission to connect communities to nature through engaging, educational, and inclusive programming for all ages. This position will hold a special focus on stormwater and wetland education and will be expected to actively engage in learning opportunities as well as relevant trainings related to stormwater and wetland best practices. JOB DUTIES: 60% - Essential - Facilitate nature focused programs that follow SC state educational standards and place based education standards both formally to k-12 groups and homeschool groups and informally to community groups. Facilitation occurs both on site at the Nature as Teacher Preserve for Education and off site in The City Camden and surrounding areas in Kershaw County. Programs cover a wide variety of nature related topics including environmental science, nature arts, ecology, natural history, and sustainable forestry among others. Programming is almost completely outdoors and often involves hiking, active games and other physically demanding tasks such as environmental science activities. Responsible for custodial care in some programs including the safety of minors and compliance with all youth operating standards, reporting of program attendance, critical incidents. Perform first aid when necessary. The Education Aid; Community Education Lead will be responsible for designing, promoting and leading community education programs at least once a month March-November, and will assist in the facilitation of public engagement events, public school trips, and homeschool programs. 35% - Essential - Maintenance of outdoor preserve spaces such as flower beds and trails including weeding, racking, mulching, pruning and trimming and the installation of small infrastructure such as fences and signs. Maintenance of indoor preserve spaces such as public restrooms and storage areas including cleaning, janitorial tasks, mopping, sweeping and organization of tools, resources and equipment. Cleaning and maintenance of supplies equipment and tools as used. Personal responsibility for the use of safety equipment and protective gear. Responsible for supply and resource inventory. 5% - Essential - Tracking and reporting of hours and schedule, and other paperwork as needed. May be required to travel for training. Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity. Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client requirements. Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies. Overview This position provides front-line service and support for Bank-owned and serviced mortgages. Works directly with clients, associates, and other key stakeholders during the course of daily activities, and may act as a liaison between parties involved in mortgage actions. Performs a variety of servicing tasks which may include payments processing, answering client calls, entering loan set-up packages, facilitating loan satisfactions or releases, and managing insurance policies and real estate tax bills. May verify documentation, track exceptions, and other duties intended to review for accuracy in loan applicant information. Ensures mortgages are appropriately supported and complete to facilitate workflow for the mortgage servicing function of the Bank. Responsibilities Business Service - Performs a variety of actions to facilitate daily operations and mortgage servicing for Bank clients, associates, and other relevant parties. Understands loan transaction history to provide resolution for identified issues. Mortgage Servicing - May perform some or all of the following duties: Payment Processing - Processes timely and accurate mortgage payments, adjustments, reversals, and changes. Client Service - Answers inbound calls from customers, etc. providing resolution or call routing. Receives and processes requests for payoffs by providing payoff quotes, mailing disclosures, and reviewing for accuracy. Ensures that loan documents are properly satisfied and forwarded to the customer or settlement agent within the regulatory timeline. Processes system maintenance such as address and name changes, and verification of mortgage requests. Escrow Management - Manages real estate taxes and hazard, flood and private mortgage insurance, including the force-placed insurance process. If appropriate, reviews new and renewed policies to confirm required coverage, updating certificates as necessary. Prepares escrow invoices for payment, reviews vouchers for accuracy, and mails payments to the payee. Manages the electronic data interface (EDI) process for the insurance companies and real estate tax vendor to ensure the Bank servicing system is updated with current information. Researches changes and notifications related to real estate tax bills and insurance policies. Orders coverage and notifies clients for force-placed insurance process. Loan Establishment - Sets up new loans for accurate servicing, including construction loans. Verifies interface accuracy and that of loan closing documents. Manages service release of loans to purchasers or investors. Coordination - Works closely with clients, associates, and other relevant parties to source necessary information and documentation required for mortgage activities. Coordinates actions within business unit to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
