Bucket Foreperson – Lexington, SC
The Bucket Foreperson coordinates crew members, equipment, tools, and supplies in order to complete all jobs according to contract specifications. Must have at least 2 years of professional experience operating a Bucket Truck. Experience as a Foreperson or Crew Leader is preferred. Driver's license is required; CDL preferred. Essential Functions Always follow and enforce safe practices and rules Direct crew members and manage equipment each day Assign specific tasks to crew members and supervise performance Plan and execute the assigned work and tasks in a safe and professional manner Organize job assignments so that work is completed as efficiently as possible Notify private property owners of presence on property; obtain permission from property owners to trim or remove trees and/or apply herbicides; discuss issues such as obtaining access, power interruption, work to be done, etc. with customer and/or property owner Ensure crew members wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe practices on the job Trim and/or remove trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or work from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand-powered saws, pruner, etc.; cuts branches or trunk sections and ropes or lowers them to the ground with lines Spray stumps and brush with hand-spraying equipment to prevent further growth Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a powered chipper Designate break and lunch time Direct cleanup of the job site and make sure all equipment and supplies are secured on the truck Inspect the work performed to job specifications then notify customer that work has been completed Keep accurate records of time, equipment, and material used Complete daily truck inspection; conduct job briefings as specified by federal law Re-stock needed supplies on truck and perform routine maintenance on equipment or inform General Foreperson of damaged equipment and needed supplies Determine action to take in emergency situations by eliminating hazards to life and property Perform duties for storm work as needed Supervisory Responsibilities The Foreperson has no direct reports, but directs crew members to prepare equipment, tools, and supplies necessary for each day’s work. Operations Supervisor (2nd Shift)
Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring Operations Supervisor for 2nd Shift at our Ridgeway, SC Location Schedule: 1:00pm to 9:30pm Monday to Friday (Extended shift and weekend overtime work required) THE ROLE The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading a production team towards accomplishing production team goals. In addition, the Supervisor participates in developing and implementing strategic plans to improve plant performance. This role performs a variety of routine and non-routine management and supervisory functions in accordance with standard procedures to ensure manufacturing employees meet all safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals. TOP RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide leadership and direction to the Operations team to meet all safety, quality, productivity, cost, and on-time shipment goals. * Drive focus on safety as an integral part of the teams' day-to-day activities. * Assure shift meetings and department audits are completed. * Work with teams to analyze data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. * Motivate and develop by example. * Communicate goals and provide daily feedback on metrics. * Hold production teams and individuals accountable for consistently meeting performance metrics. * Create the linkages between production teams, maintenance, QA, engineering, and other functions. * Ensure proper staffing coverage, work with Operations Manager and Human Resources to address staffing requirements and actions * Act as a primary communication link for information flowing to and from the shift team. * Respect diversity and promote good working relationships among all employees. * Address and resolve conflicts promptly. * Develop, document, and deliver appropriate counseling and discipline to individuals when requirements & performance are not met. * Maintain employee training and performance records * Must work production schedule, including weekends, as required. QUALIFICATIONS: * 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory role leading a department/ function with direct reports * Creative and energetic individual with high professional standards who thrives in a demanding work environment. * Successful track record in achieving results. * Demonstrated ability to motivate and work with all levels in the organization. * Must be organized, self-starter; must have analytical skills and good written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to prioritize while driving multiple projects and tasks simultaneously; demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills. * Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. * Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication is essential. PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS * In this role you maybe be required to stand up to 10 hours per shift and with frequent bending, reaching, and grasping.
