JOB PURPOSE This position is essential in the painting process. The Paint Prep will ensure all parts are prepped and ready for the next stage of the process. This position will also assist the painter during the painting stages, as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for cleaning and sanding parts before paintwork is started/completed. Responsible for inspecting work on parts prior to paint being applied. Maintains a clean and safe work area, maintains and wears all required personal protective safety equipment. Participates in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and exhibiting initiative in areas within direct control. Assist painters during painting stages, as needed. Other duties as assigned by the manager. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Basic knowledge and understanding of automotive/industrial paint process and prep work to be completed. Ability to efficiently use various hand and power tools. Keen attention to detail Ability to work with multiple priorities and constant interruptions. Basic communication skills, both written and oral Ability to operate a forklift. Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Maintain confidentiality as required. Preferred Qualifications: PSA Manufacturing experience Advanced knowledge and understanding of automotive/industrial paint process and prep work. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in an operational warehouse environment. While performing regular duties, this position is exposed to various chemicals and solvents. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, stretching, full range of body motion including handling and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, manual and finger dexterity, as well as a normal range of hearing and vision. Area is not climate controlled, and subject to extreme temperatures especially around the melting area. Other areas have numerous chemical tanks and require respirator use in batch area. Other areas the floors are very wet and require care when walking and working around. Physical requirements Require physical inspection of all areas of the operations several times a day, requirement to be on the floor approximately 90% of the time. Must be able to walk entire operations, climb stairs and vertical ladders to access the manufacturing areas. About the Role We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery–Production to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery–Production, you will be accountable for operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring efficient and safe processing in alignment with Aspire Bakeries’ standards. Shift & Schedule Shift: 1st Hours: 6AM – 2:30PM Weekend Availability: Required Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing) Operate and adjust production equipment to ensure products meet quality and food safety specifications. Maintain required documentation, reports, and production records with accuracy. Ensure work areas, machines, and equipment remain clean, organized, and compliant with all safety rules. Identify and communicate equipment, production, or safety issues to appropriate personnel. Maintain continuous compliance with GMPs and established production processes and recipes. Support equipment start‑ups, changeovers, and daily production activities to meet operational standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily production and team success. Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience. Equipment and product knowledge, including basic troubleshooting ability. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Good communication and observational skills. Must be able to work as part of a highly functioning team. Must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) High School Diploma. Computer skills. Experience in food manufacturing environments. Experience working with automated production equipment. Familiarity with production schedules, changeovers, or run orders.
