The Quality Management System Engineer is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role supports audits, drives corrective actions, and promotes a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization. Maintain, control, and improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA and customer specific requirements and the Environmental Management System with ISO-14001. Ensure QMS & EMS processes are defined, documented, implemented, and effective across all departments. Manage the document control and record retention processes. Monitor QMS & EMS performance metrics and key quality indicators. Prepare and present QMS & EMS-related data for Management Review. Support risk-based thinking and process performance evaluation. Plan, coordinate, and support internal audits to verify QMS & EMS compliance and effectiveness. Act as primary liaison for third-party, customer, and certification audits. Ensure audit findings are addressed through timely and effective corrective actions. Manage the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) system. Facilitate root cause analysis and verify effectiveness of corrective actions. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the QMS. Ensure QMS & EMS training needs are identified and fulfilled. Provide guidance and training on QMS & EMS requirements to department personnel. Promote quality awareness and adherence to established procedures. Support departments in interpreting and applying QMS & EMS requirements. Ensure alignment between departmental procedures and the overall QMS & EMS. Participate in cross-functional improvement and problem-solving activities. Evaluate and manage QMS & EMS impacts resulting from organizational, process, or customer changes. Ensure changes are properly documented, communicated, and implemented within the QMS & EMS Manage and maintain IMDS submissions to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, coordinating cross-functionally with suppliers and internal teams. Job Description: What will you do? This position will oversee a multi-disciplined engineering team that provides engineered to order solutions for customer projects for Low Voltage Switchgear and Low Voltage Switchboard equipment at the Columbia, South Carolina Schneider Electric manufacturing facility. Position Summary The Engineered Nylons Department runs a batch process to produce various types of nylon resin. The Chemical Operator doses raw materials and performs all process steps for the mix tank, evaporator, reactor, pelletizer, and material transfer to storage tanks. Further processing responsibilities include resin transfer, drying, sample testing and packaging of final product. The Chemical Operator works a rotating shift schedule in a non-climate-controlled area. Description: This position will be responsible for ensuring the efficient design, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing systems and processes to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement in production operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Team member and subject matter expert on cross functional team to develop Process Development Studies. Responsible for protocol generation and summary analysis of results for process changes or new products. · Team member and subject matter expert for the design and implementation of new equipment and equipment modifications to help improve safety, Quality, reliability, and throughput. · Responsible for implementation of new processes while maintaining cGMP compliance. · Team member and subject matter expert for the generation of User Requirement Specification documents for new equipment. · Manages capital projects from a small to medium scope requiring moderate coordination. Ability to manage several assignments (project & process duties) simultaneously is required. · Ensure all equipment is in compliance with established safety standards. · Responsible for acquiring and reviewing equipment/materials quotations. Job Responsibilities At lexington Construction B, serves as Assistant Resident Contruction Engineer (ARCE). Helps ensure projects are properly staffed. Supervises field engineers and technicians to ensure minimum sampling and testing requirements and quality assurance specifications are met. Verifies construction activity is properly documented by field inspectors and engineers. Verifies quantities measured for payment to the contractor are accurate. Assists with survey verification. Monitors office assigned projects, ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications. Ensures all construction-related right-of-way agreements are followed during construction. Assists the Resident Construction Engineer (RCE) with contract administration. Reviews and processes contractor submittals. Assists the RCE with project closeout. Meets with contractors concerning construction related issues. As a representative of the SCDOT, helps resolve construction conflicts and ensures the interests of the Department are clearly communicated and protected in the process. Assists the RCE with miscellaneous office management tasks, human resources management, ensures a safe and productive work environment, etc. Attends preconstruction conferences and other meetings on behalf of RCE. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management and three (3) years of engineering or construction management work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle driver's license is required. The physical demands for the essential functions of this position involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. This position may require travel. This position may require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, and kneeling.
