As a Help Desk Technician, you should have a solid technical background combined with customer service experience. Job Function Train operators to operate safely and efficiently. Offline program forming parts while evaluating sequence for optimal bending efficiency. Offline program Turrets and Lasers on site; Nest parts, program parts, revise nests/parts for optimum efficiency for Lasers and Turrets. Write instructions sheets to guide setups and machine operations. Operates the machines (lasers and press brakes) to aid in setups and determine best options for running parts and obtaining excellent quality standards. Train production personnel on manufacturing processes via the communication of written work instructions, demonstration of operation, observing the operation and follow up as required. Support GH Metal Solutions (GHMS) advanced lean manufacturing engineering processes development to sustain on-going productivities & global competitive advantages. Support GHMS and customer engineers on NEW Products’ design/development with robust Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput. Effectively manage projects so they remain within budget, on time, and meets all the quality requirements of the project. Effectively maintain and communicate project statuses, progress toward key milestones and critical path deliverables Collaborate with development group regarding product tooling, secondary manufacturing methods, and processes to ensure effectual production methods Work with cross-functional groups to generate a written response to customers request for corrective action Attend development training when available to learn new market trends and develop those into company improvements. Research the market for new ideas and how they can be utilized in the real manufacturing environment. Analyze workflow through departments, monitor change, and adjust for maximum throughput and efficiency. Other Duties assigned by the supervisor. Required Skills One year certificate from college or technical school related to metal forming or machining; or one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A basic ability to read blueprints, work orders, and use various measuring instruments is preferred. Certification for these skills provided through in-house training. Must be able to work from written or verbal instructions Minimum 5 years of experience with production environments. Upbeat positive personality for training Open minded to test new ideas Programming experience preferred…but not required 2D Programming experience preferred…but not required. Must be team oriented Must be able to read prints Able to use all related hardware and software. Must have average knowledge and capability in the use of Windows operating systems; training may be done in-house Other Duties assigned by the supervisor.
