JOB At Lexington Maintenance, operates medium equipment such as tandem dump truck to haul material and equipment to and from the job site including picking up material from vendor. Ensures tarp is in place and that all loose material is removed from sides of the truck. Assists in the operation of heavy duty backhoe to clean outfall ditches, sideline ditches, installing driveways with or without pipe, re-grading roadway shoulders, and laying cross line pipe, all of which facilitate proper distribution of storm water from roadway. Clears right-of-way by hand using axe, sling blade and chain saw which include removing dead trees and limbs. Operates medium to heavy equipment during emergencies and/or hazardous weather. SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: DPH has recently became a new agency formed July 1st, 2024 and inherited the original infrastructure environment from the original agency formally DHEC. Additional remediation efforts are required to get that environment into a segmented framework, splitting shared systems and environments with the other newly formed agency that was a part of DHEC, cleanup, and transition remaining pieces to be a part of DPH environment. Due to the volume of systems, interdependencies, servers, and various locations throughout the state, additional staff is needed to support the effort. The team will ensure systems are set up following industry best practices to ensure strategic initiatives and compliance with federal and state regulatory laws and ensure business continuity. These positions will be a part of the team responsible for the implementation of this project. They will also be involved with supporting the day-to-day operations of the Agency’s Server Hosting environment. Candidates should be self-motivated, team-oriented, work under limited supervision, and respond to priority tasks as needed. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in a team comprised of DPH and solution implementation staff for Server Hosting related planning, designing, installation, configuration and conversion of physical and virtual server environment for conversion into a segmented framework. Will coordinate with the IT Operations Director and IT Section Manager on special projects, daily assignments, tasks and coordinate and collaborate with contract staff as well as existing DPH Enterprise Computing Services staff and other IT professionals with the Office of Information Technology.
