JOB PURPOSE This position is responsible for directing receiving personnel while accurately accounting for inventory being unloaded, received, and moved to distribution storage locations within 24 hours or less. This individual is responsible for releasing presell transfer orders as well as the execution of intercompany transfer orders used to move allocate inventory to retail locations. All systemic and physical transactions are time sensitive and must be handled in unison. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for directing the activities of the receiving employees within the department Responsible for managing receipt of inventory into Warehouse Management System (WMS) Ensure accurate receipt of inventory based off packing slips and POs generated by WMS Read packing slips and verify the inventory sent is associated with a purchase order in WMS Responsible for quality checks on inventory coming in from vendors Identify product discrepancies and proactively resolve issues relating to the inventory inbound Accurately verify that all piece counts on Purchase Orders, Packing Slips and the actual product match Perform tasks related to shipping and transportation of orders; perform all functions of cargo handling including, but not limited to: processing, loading, and off-loading freight.
