Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst – Project Lead Location: Columbia, SC 29210 (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote) Contract Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: 65 Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst – Project Lead to join a high-impact team supporting mission-critical healthcare technology initiatives. The selected candidate will contribute to a variety of complex and change-driven projects within a public-sector healthcare environment. This role is ideal for QA professionals who enjoy analytical problem-solving and working with cross-functional teams in a structured development environment. Responsibilities: Perform functional, regression, and negative testing on technical applications to ensure product reliability and stability. Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution. Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and user acceptance criteria based on business and functional requirements. Design and implement SDLC traceability from requirements to test cases and software components. Create and maintain test documentation, including QA reports, test metrics, and defect tracking logs. Participate in defect triage meetings and support retesting activities until resolution. Ensure adherence to established QA governance policies, methodologies, and industry best practices. Conduct peer reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections of test cases and documentation. Support UI testing and oversee automated test script execution and maintenance. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience translating business requirements into test cases and test scenarios. Minimum 5 years of experience designing, executing, and managing test cases in test environments. At least 3 years of experience in healthcare operations or business processes (preferably Medicaid). At least 3 years of experience communicating testing status and defect reports to development teams. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with formal test design tools. Preferred Skills: 5+ years of experience in large enterprise or e-business systems. 3+ years working with manual or automated tools like Azure DevOps, Atlassian JIRA, or Confluence. Prior experience working within standard SDLC (waterfall) and Agile project delivery methodologies. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in place of formal education. Certifications: Certifications in QA, technical analysis, or project management are desirable but not required.
