Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The Manufacturing Engineer primary focus of this position is identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reductions using accepted industrial engineering and lean manufacturing methodologies. This position will also support various projects related to new and redesigned product launches. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do: Design special assembly tools, fixtures and equipment to be used for the assembly processes Develop detail drawings with tolerances and proper material call out for assembling tools, fixtures and equipment. Designing new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones. Purchase, and install equipment, fixtures, specialty assembly tools, product lift assists and storage devices. Develop new manufacturing processes, including layouts, PFD, PFMEA, CP, work instructions and training materials. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. Plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow diagrams, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment. Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment. Troubleshoot daily manufacturing issues. Here is some of what you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field from a four-year college or university 3+ even years of relevant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required Computer skills include, but are not limited to: MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project); AutoCAD, 3D CAD software, SolidWorks’, Draft Sight Lean manufacturing methodologies and principles is desired. Formal training and experience implementing lean strategies to improve process flow and reduce cost is preferred. Read and interpret drawing requirements and specifications is required. Job Description Timmons Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Land Development team in Columbia, SC. The Project Engineer II/III will contribute to a wide range of land development projects—from residential neighborhoods to commercial developments and public spaces. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools. Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges. Preparing technical specifications and construction documents. Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion. Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning. Supporting field inspections and data collection. Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results. Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 2+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects. EIT certification preferred. Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or other CAD software. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. The Production Assistant will work with Chemical Manufacturing and Processes in which raw materials undergo change. Responsibilities involve optimizing existing equipment, understanding the reactions taking place and strong troubleshooting skills. Primary Job Responsibilities: Perform chemical operations and operate equipment in a safe and effective manner. Learn and follow all company SOP's. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Interpret and follow work orders, blueprints, schematics, verbal instructions, and sample units to perform precise assembly tasks. Accurately position and align parts in jigs, fixtures, or holding devices to ensure proper fit and function. Perform assembly operations using a range of tools and equipment, including powered and manual hand tools, crimping devices, screwdrivers, and bolting tools, to accurately assemble parts and components according to specifications. Mount electronic components including transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, onto chassis panels. Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Install subassemblies into enclosures, cases, or cabinets and attach required hardware. Perform in-process and final inspections to verify products meet internal specifications, production standards, and compliance requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation; follow all safety protocols and company procedures. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met and to support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or production manager. Qualifications and Competencies Ability to follow detailed instructions; written and verbal.
