Electrician Helper The Electrical Helper will assist the electrician in the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Assist in the diagnosis of malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and assist in correcting the problem. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to measure and bend conduit. Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the senior electrician. Must be able to take measurements and cut wire using a ruler and hand tools. Drills holes for wiring, using power drill and pulls or pushes wiring through opening. Trace out short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter. Assists in lifting, positioning or fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors. Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches. May disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment. Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required for this Position: Education – no minimum education requirements. Experience – 6 months of experience, preferred. Must pass drug screen, as condition of employment. This is a fulltime maintenance job working 40 hours a week (4/10's). There is no per diem and no relocation funding. Maintenance Associate
Job Title: Maintenance Associate Team: Operations Classification: Part-Time, Exempt Reports To: Facilities Manager Direct Reports: None Effective Date: June 2025 Position Summary This position is an entry level position that will be responsible for providing support for day-to-day maintenance needs of all Oliver Gospel’s facilities and will report to the Facilities Manager. The Maintenance Associate will perform general maintenance tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager through the work order process. This individual will help oversee equipment maintenance. This individual will work under general supervision but will predominantly be required to function independently to complete routine maintenance and complex tasks. This position will require general knowledge of tools, but training will be provided to enhance the individual's knowledge. Oversee the janitorial conditions at all facilities Report on status of ongoing projects Keep supply room organized, clean, and appropriately stocked Respond quickly and accurately to employee and/or resident concerns and emergency situations. Communicate effectively and frequently with the Facilities Manager Maintain maintenance data base/logs for both buildings and vehicles Maintain/recommend inventory regarding facility maintenance spare components. Prioritize day-to-day operations, work orders, emergency, and preventative maintenance. Operates machines and tools necessary to complete assigned repairs. Assist in maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Assist in maintaining vehicles in a condition that does not compromise safety. Core Competencies Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. Proficient in basic computer software such as MS Office, Outlook, and work order systems. Must be able to multi-task, complete work orders in a timely manner, be driven, stay on task and pay attention to detail Must have a good knowledge of building maintenance.
