What You’ll Be Doing: Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems. Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines. Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units. Install and test new generator units. Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency. Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner. Prepare accurate quotes for repairs. Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE. Candidates must be able to*: Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and tools Reach with hands and arms Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed. Lift and/or move up to 50lbs., and occasionally up to 100lbs.
