Job Title: Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) Lead Technician Location: Fort Jackson, SC Overview: SkyBridge Tactical is seeking a motivated Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) Lead Technician to support operation of Engagement Skill Trainers at Fort Jackson, SC Responsibilities: The Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) Lead Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead daily operations of EST training systems, ensuring all training events are fully supported and meet unit training requirements. Supervise, mentor, and coordinate work schedules for EST Technicians I and II; provide on-the-job training and technical guidance. Act as the primary point of contact for unit leaders and training coordinators regarding EST capabilities, scheduling, and system readiness. Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of EST hardware and software; escalate complex issues to OEM support as needed. Oversee system setup, calibration, and configuration for all training exercises; ensure compliance with Army standards and safety protocols. Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Maintain accurate records of training usage, maintenance actions, incident reports, and personnel performance. Coordinate inventory management for EST equipment, spare parts, and consumables; ensure accountability and readiness. Provide input for system upgrades, modifications, and training scenario development to enhance training realism and effectiveness. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Site Lead or Program Manager. Ensure team compliance with all applicable company policies, Army regulations, and site-specific security requirements. Perform other related duties as required to support the training mission. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining EST or comparable weapons simulation systems. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity. Strong understanding of U.S. Army weapons systems, marksmanship standards, and training doctrine. Proven ability to perform complex troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and record-keeping. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to equipment setup and maintenance. Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain base access and security clearance as required. Preferred Qualifications: Prior military experience, especially in training or weapons instruction. OEM certification on EST or similar training systems. Experience supporting Army training programs at battalion or brigade level. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
