We'll train you to target small and medium-sized businesses across various industries, meeting directly with business owners and decision-makers. Your objective is to promote some of the industry’s leading supplemental insurance products and services to both the businesses and their employees. Expect to interact individually with business owners, benefits managers, and employees, and at times, conduct product presentations for sizable groups ranging from 50 to 100+. Design, configure, install, monitor, and support the agency's server, storage, and cloud environments on an advanced level. Ensures high availability, security, and performance of IT systems by implementing best practices, optimizing resources, and leading infrastructure projects. Oversee the security, integrity, and safety of critical IT systems. Specific Duties Provide day-to-day management of server hardware, software, and security solutions. This includes performing hardware and software upgrades, installing new and enhanced products, and maintaining the server environment, including Active Directory, Exchange, email security, antivirus, patching, SQL databases, Group Policy, DNS, virtual machines, storage, DHCP, M365 and AzureAD, and Intune. Conduct research on server hardware, software, and protocols to support procurement and development efforts, while providing recommendations to IT management. Manage high-level projects, address critical issues, improve procedural efficiency and ensure the proper updating, patching, and hardening of servers. Coordinate with vendors and IT staff to provide recommendations, provide quotes, evaluate, and install server technologies. conduct research on hardware, software, and protocols to support procurement and development efforts and provide recommendations to IT staff. Responsible for analyzing server software and hardware issues, implementing resolutions, and managing server installation and configuration. This includes administering security measures, backup procedures, and participating in software and hardware evaluations. Mentor and train the server team by providing instructions and guidance on problem analysis and resolution. Develop quotes, evaluates, and installs server technologies, including storage, backup, hardware, and software platforms. Analyze, design, and implement clustered server resources such as SQL, Exchange, and other systems. Ensure compliance with security policies by coordinating required server and security audits. Maintain system backups, recovery procedures, and storage solutions while preserving the security and integrity of data and physical components. Perform other duties as required to support the agency's IT infrastructure. Minimum and Additional Requirements A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an IT virtual/physical Windows server environment. Experience maintaining SAN, VMware technologies, and enterprise-level cloud or hybrid solutions is required. Related experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Must have advanced experience with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMware, Exchange, M365 and Azure, SQL, backup strategies, storage, and on premise, cloud and hybrid environments. The role involves enforcing processes to securely manage server and cloud infrastructures. Strong knowledge of security best practices, including patching, hardening, disaster recovery, and compliance, is essential. The candidate must evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions. Responsibilities include managing virtual servers, leading projects, mentoring staff, and providing guidance. Effective communication is essential for collaboration. May be required to travel, including overnight travel. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to pass fingerprint background check and a polygraph. This position supports 24/7 infrastructure and will be on a rotating on call schedule.
