NAMI South Carolina is a grassroots organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for individuals who live with mental illness and for their families by promoting the availability of effective services and resources through education, support and advocacy. NAMI SC’s Youth-Centered Awareness & Education (YCAE) team believes that we all have mental health, that we all struggle sometimes, and that tools and coping skills are available to help us deal with anything from stress to a mental health condition. YCAE offers four programs to middle and high school youth, school staff, parents/caregivers, and community members. We are seeking a part-time Regional Program Facilitator for the 2025-26 school year. This is a *hybrid* position, and we require facilitators to reside within their designated regions to travel to schools/presentation sites as needed. The region and open position include: * (1) Midlands Region: Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Edgefield, Lexington, Orangeburg, Richland, and Saluda counties The four programs we facilitate and manage are: * *Ending the Silence* (ETS) is a presentation that helps middle and high school students, school staff, and families learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions, suicide awareness and prevention, and how to get help. There are three versions: Ending the Silence for Students, Ending the Silence for School Staff, and Ending the Silence for Families. Each of these is led by a two-presenter team: one Lead Presenter (who does the slide deck) and one Young Adult Presenter (who shares their personal story with mental health). All Program Facilitators will be trained as Lead Presenters. * *Refresh & Reclaim* (R&R) introduces the relationship between personal values, healthy boundaries and self-care to adults. Participants will discuss barriers to self-care and learn to apply the concepts discussed to set and maintain healthy boundaries, personally and professionally, to promote mental wellness. * *Go Lime Green: Mental Health Matters* (GLG) is a program to educate and empower individuals in normalizing conversations about mental health through awareness nights at middle and high school football games throughout South Carolina. * *Mental Fitness & M.E.* (MFME) introduces the relationship between personal values, healthy boundaries and self-care to youth.
