As a Youth Care Specialist in the Thompson Placement Stability Unit (TPSU), you will provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavior modification techniques to youth who have night-to-night placement in DSS offices and/or have limited stability in their home. A typical day as a Youth Care Specialist will include responding to requests made for client intervention, coordinating sessions, de-escalating youth, and completing documentation.
