Position requires an Industrial Maintenance Technician that is experienced in mechanical maintenance and electrical maintenance. Position requires multi-trade skills therefore training in mechanical maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation calibration and repair, etc. may be provided to selected candidate. Responsibilities: Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Prioritizing with the site Self Directed Work Team and the Plant Manager for planned, routine, or emergency maintenance repair to minimize production downtime and maximize production efficiency. Troubleshoots and repairs existing blowers, pumps, seals, valves, piping systems, fans, gear reducers, sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, screening systems, ductwork, motors, starters, wiring systems, thermal pneumatic and electronic instruments, thermocouples, circuit breakers, overloads, fuses, start-stop stations, etc. Performs preventive maintenance (PM) inspections and makes repairs of problems found during inspections. Recommends, initiates, and maintains the preventive maintenance programs. Applies skills in calibration/repair of process instrumentation such as temperature/pressure transmitters, temperature/pressure probes, flow measuring devices, solenoids, conductivity/pH meters, level transmitters, etc. Supervises outside contract labor as required, including scope of work planning. Perform proficiently in skilled tasks such as welding, brazing, wiring, etc. Recommends spare parts requirements and suggested inventory levels. Maintains inventory of all spare parts and initiates purchase orders, receiving and tracking of replacement parts. Maintains the Work Order systems as necessary to ensure a smooth transition to a centralized system, and permanent record of equipment history. Maintains and utilizes Maintenance Management System to help track plant maintenance activities in such areas as work orders, equipment history, preventative and predictive maintenance, etc. Follows lubrication recommendations for all equipment on appropriate frequency. Works with the team to identify and implement recommendations resulting in improvements to the plant safety performance. Use of Operational Excellence (lean) techniques for continuous improvement as part of the plant team, including on-gong training. Helps drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to drive the plant towards the highest level of performance. In addition to the above described duties, as part of a small team the maintenance technician may be requested to perform operation related duties to assist the plant team. Other Duties and Responsibilities Trains/assists others in job duties/skills. Assists Operations staff as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. OE/Lean Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and TPM, among others. Must be able to work with, troubleshoot and install three phase electricity, possess excellent welding, fabrication, and flame cutting skills, possess extensive knowledge of lubrication methods, install, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic operated systems, read, understand and follow blueprints, building drawings, and electrical schematics. Ability to perform pipefitting, plumbing, and carpentry are preferred. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, an employee is typically exposed to dust, loud noise, high places, confined spaces, very low and/or bright light, and outside weather conditions. Primarily works alone but may work as part of a team working in close proximity to others and works in close proximity with equipment. Work Hours: Must have ability to work the shift/number of hours in which duties need to be accomplished, which may include overtime, and occasional weekends and holidays. The plant is a continuous operation requiring some call-in availability, as well as having the maintenance person on call. Safety Equipment: Safety equipment typically required while performing the duties of this job include a personal lockout/tagout lock, ANSI approved hardhat and safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes/boots with steel toe protection. Appropriate safety equipment is required when welding such as welding mask, and additional safety equipment is available for use if a situation arises where it becomes required depending on the assignment or if it is simply desired by the employee. Safety Training Required: A new employee hired to perform the duties of this position is to be provided New Employee Training by a qualified individual, which may consist of classroom type training and on-the-job training. In addition, training will occur via online modules. Overview: Job Summary: The Kennel Assistant provides daily care, feeding and exercise of boarding and hospitalized animals. The Kennel Assistant also pays close attention to animals’ general health signs such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention. The Kennel Assistant interacts with clients in person and by phone and e-mail. Proper record documentation and accurate completion of boarding forms and cage cards is critical. The Kennel Assistant must pay close attention to details, understand, and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets. Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Maintain and uphold Core Values and Mission Statement of MPH. Provide compassionate care to boarding pets and hospitalized patients. Check-in animals for boarding, talk with owners, write specific feeding and medication instructions, play times, walks, additional services; record all information on boarding forms; place ID collars on all animals; record and label all personal belongings. Mark records correctly for eating, drinking and elimination habits; feed and water animals according to schedules; administer medications to pets that require medications while boarding; administer flea and tick control on all animals. Record medication instructions on the kennel medication board. Walk through kennel area regularly, checking each pet for any abnormal activity such as vomiting, diarrhea or blood in the cage or in the run. Make medical records for animals needing a doctor exam, inform receptionists that there are now doctor charges, and a doctor discharge is needed; take pets to treatment area for all medical services to be administered. Report abnormal activity to doctors and technicians, pull patient’s medical record; recognize emergency situations, enlisting the aid of doctors and technicians. Supervise animals when they are in the yard. Perform “TLC” play times or walks for clients who have requested it. Move pets to yard or other areas so runs can be disinfected; return animal to correct run after the run is clean and dry; remove soiled bedding and take it to the laundry area; place clean bedding in runs; operate washer and dryer to clean kennel bedding and hospital laundry. Clean and disinfect cages, runs and yard as needed, using hoses and spray bottles of disinfectant. Use a squeegee to remove excess water; clean cat litter boxes and disinfect kitty condos; clean and disinfect all food and water bowls. Wear personal protective equipment required for the area and maintain the personal protective equipment in good working order. Personal protective equipment includes goggles or face shields, aprons, full body aprons, gloves, boots and booties or other equipment assigned. Check out animals for boarding, talk with owners, return all personal belongings, and review boarding report card with client; give baths to animals that qualify for a bath before they go home. Qualifications: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Confidence around animals and pets. Knowledge of proper animal restraint techniques. Knowledge of infectious diseases and how to control and prevent their spread. Must have reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and ability to speak the English language) to perform the duties proficiently. Verify the eligibility of clients with charge accounts. Check medical and computer records for accurate client addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and scan appropriate new documents to patient’s medical records. Fill prescriptions refill forms and provide routine administrations instructions to clients. Advise clients on flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventatives, pre-anesthetic testing, pain management, shampoos, home dental products, and other retail items. Construction Line Tech II
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. Under minimal supervision, build, repair and maintain HFC (hybrid fiber coax) plant and FTTH plant (Fiber to the Home) Work on a crew to construct outside plant Aerial/UG network infrastructure Perform complex installations of cable in underground and/or overhead environments using most recent company specifications and industry standards. Establish work zone/area for crew to allow for placement of network construction infrastructure. Follow Pole Owner constructions and advise crews workers of requirements. Prepare underground system plant for repairs; includes trenching, pot holing, backfill, and repair or replacement of conduits, poles, risers or pedestals. Perform investigation and repair of cut fiber optic cables or impairments Dig trenches and fill ditches; bury cable; place cable in trenches and through conduit. Install equipment used to house HFC & FTTH equipment, ground plant, or place rod or wire to serve as ground for future installations. Work with other crews, Construction Technicians, In-house Technicians, as well as third-party contractors in the performance of their duties. Perform traffic control and/or flagging as necessary or advise traffic control vendors of the same Load and unload cable equipment and tools and ensure materials are adequately stocked on crew trucks Read system fiber prints and place cable according to prints Mentor/coach technicians in crew for a productive and safe working environment. Calculate signal losses from all cable lines and devices, using signal level meter. Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable. Know, understand and follow company policies and follow crew safety procedures. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
