Evaluate operating statements to identify business trends (including sales, profitability, and turn), expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors. Order to ensure the meeting or exceeding of in-stock targets; review ordering plan, seasonal direction and inventory management issues on a weekly basis; follow up on Basic Stock Replenishment (BSR)/cycle counts. Facilitate the efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise by following defined company work processes. Ensure that all merchandise is presented according to established practices; utilize merchandise fixtures properly including presentation, product pricing and signage. Maintain accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls. Ensure the financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to stated company security practices and cash control procedures. Provide superior customer service leadership. Maintain a clean, well-organized store; facilitate a safe and secure working and shopping environment. Ensure that store is adequately equipped with tools necessary to perform required tasks. Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual, Employee Handbook, and company communications; ensure employee compliance. Complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines. Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages. Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control. Ability to perform IBM cash register functions to generate reports. Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices. Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes. Utility Coordinator
Position Summary: The Utility Coordinator supports the daily operations of the utility division by providing comprehensive administrative, logistical, and operational support to Project Managers, General Foremen, field crews, and other departments. This position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless coordination of utility projects, maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards, and assisting with workforce and resource management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Administrative & Operational Support: • Provide direct administrative assistance to Project Managers (PMs) and General Foremen (GFs). • Process weekly timesheets for payroll and billing across Dominion, Cooperative, and contract crews. • Follow up with foremen and GFs on missing daily reports required for billing. • Reconcile credit card statements and manage purchase orders, invoice queues, and billing documentation. • Assist with job bids, including downloading/printing plans and specs and obtaining vendor/subcontractor quotes. • Assist with work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, accounts receivable (AR), and storm response coordination. Employee Onboarding & HR Coordination: • Coordinate with HR and GFs on onboarding tasks including tracking spreadsheets, vacation calendars, and review schedules. • Process employee terminations, gather GEC property, and manage termination checklists and communications. • Manage badging requests and uniform programs, including monthly statement reconciliation. • Pull employment reports for 90-day reviews and prepare baseline evaluation forms. • Coordinate monthly benefits meetings (insurance, 401K) and communicate access details to employees. Fleet & Resource Management: • Assist with hotel bookings, per-diems, and associated customer invoicing and credit card coding. • Support fleet maintenance tracking, including mileage reports and service information. • Coordinate tool purchases and repairs with the tool room and vendors. Safety, Compliance & Documentation: • Support safety initiatives, including Pen Program tracking and safety meeting reporting. • Assist with utility system claims, customer complaints, and associated documentation. • Prepare and track required documentation for apprenticeships, project submittals, and closeouts. • Maintain compliance tracking for safety programs and company standards. • Request and maintain notary status (GEC to cover associated expenses). Technology & IT Coordination: • Provide basic IT support for field crews (phones, iPads, document access) and escalate to IT as needed. • Facilitate IT and technology setup for new hires and equipment coordination. General Support & Coordination: • Set up meetings (room scheduling, refreshments, paperwork). • Serve as a backup to the Utility Coordinator supporting the Duke side. • Perform other duties as needed to meet evolving business and departmental needs. High Voltage Underground Foreman
The High Voltage Utility Underground Foreman is skilled in leading the construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized underground distribution systems based off receiving and following directions Can safely lead and supervise crews, coordinate work assignments, supervise flow, and train new staff in safe work procedures, underground services, infrastructure and ductbanks Conducts pre-job planning and safe work based on job prints/work orders Safely work new construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized overhead and underground distribution systems based off job prints and work orders Working knowledge of all aspects of underground linework, construction standards and installation Troubleshoot problems on underground circuits Understand grounding procedures Capable of working in confined spaces Capable of testing and classifying soil and understand sloping and shoring requirements Understand minimum approach distance and ladder requirements Ability to properly inspect and select PPE Maintains and safely operates company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order Excellent communication skills and ability to treat all employees and customers fairly These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company. Qualifications and Requirements: Advanced ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and procedures Understands equipment set up and grounding Highly proficient in critical thinking, trouble shooting, and problem resolution skills General knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines for energized and de-energized working conditions Capable of active listening and communicate effectively (written, verbal, and nonverbal) Requires self-motivation, and organization High School Diploma or equivalent Technical degree, 0-2 years' field experience, extensive mechanical ability, or combination of education and/or experience. CDL A or the ability to obtain within 6 months. Lumber Truss Forklift Opr 2nd shift 3:30pm-12AM
Overview: Under direct supervision, is responsible for the efficient and timely movement of lumber, materials and finished product throughout the physical plant in accordance with the Safety Standards for fork truck operation. Responsibilities: Train in all areas of the Yard Department to include operating various types of mobile and fixed equipment including forklifts, and loaders. Training includes required hours for each job position and practical test to be a qualified operator. Interpret all operational procedures and parameters, including Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions. Perform additional duties as needed. Recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others. Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs. Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner. Qualifications: Able to read and write in their primary language.
