What You'll Do: During the program, you will gain practical experience and develop essential skills in: Operating walk-behind concrete saws to create precise expansion and control joint cuts on roadways, runways, and other paved surfaces. Removing damaged concrete by cutting and drilling for reinforcing rods, then positioning them for repairs. Conducting post-cut inspections to ensure quality and making necessary corrections. Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure and protect concrete surfaces. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping equipment and work areas hazard-free. Following all safety protocols and worksite regulations. Assisting with other tasks as needed to support paving operations. What We Look For: Industry Experience: Heavy civil or highway construction experience preferred. Decision-Making: Strong judgment and ethical decision-making skills. Attendance & Reliability: Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance required. CDL A or B with hazmat and tanker endorsements, preferred. Driving Skills: Ability to operate a manual transmission truck, required. Additional Requirements: Ability to gain clearance for restricted/high-security zones (e.g., airport AOA, military bases). Willingness to travel 100% of the time. Valid driver’s license. Physical ability to lift 75 lbs, climb, walk, kneel, squat, push, pull, and enter confined spaces.
