Shipping Dispatcher 1st shift
Summary: 1st Shift - 8:00AM - 4:00PM The Shipping Dispatcher position is responsible for the timely and accurate entering of all shipment information into PRMS and maintaining documents/files in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the coordination of shipping and receiving activities, including dock usage. Job Function Statements - Essential Functions: Communicate with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Transportation, Customer Service, and the rest of the team on a regular basis (conference calls, proactive communication and information sharing as needed). Maintaining supplies and ordering as needed (includes office supplies, BOL's, templates, etc.) Dispatch all outbound loads, confirm destination, and seal trailers. Accurate data entry and file maintenance in PRMS. Following proper documentation procedures. Ship confirmation of Customer orders. Shuttle BOL's, e-mails, documents, and communication. Compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Oversee VOICE Queue to disseminate work to all associates. Troubleshoot system issues to ensure work-flow continues. Responsible for order assignment que and truck check in. Maintain all paperwork, files, and documents according to company policy and procedure. Control movement/loading of all empty pallet and bin trailers. All full trailers to be communicated to Transportation, so that carrier pick-ups can be arranged. Perform other duties as assigned.
