Rail Track Maintenance: • Repairs and rebuilds railroad tracks, using power and non-power hand tools • Pull spikes from ties, drills holes through rails for insertion and fastening of bolts, and replaces ballast • Operates large non-powered hand tools such as shovels, picks, axes, cutters, and sledgehammers • Operates proper electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic hand tools such as drills, impact wrenches, jacks, power saws, and grinders • Lifts and carries track material • Assists with re-railing of derailed railcars • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job Job Qualifications: • Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available • May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S. • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
