Technician, Data Preparation Senior
Summary Performs advanced, varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. This includes clerical duties such as photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, and distributing mail. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions to resolve most issues. Description Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. What You’ll Do: Performs advanced, varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. Completes scanning, indexing, imaging and quality control for the area’s documentation and records. Verifies accuracy of data and corrects errors discovered during review or research of documents. Reviews varied and complex incoming documentation or work requests to determine handling and routing. Compares related data components and combines documentation for appropriate distribution and assignment. Handles requests for information, files, or research and may liaison frequently with other areas. Coordinates and schedules departmental activities (projects, meetings, testing, visitors, etc.). Provides coverage or support for other staff members during departmental projects and/or periods of understaffing. May provide training and guidance to entry-level clerks. Maintains departmental logs, spreadsheets or databases. Prepares basic reports/statistics for management on work received for production and workload assessment. Prepares correspondence or packages for internal/external mailing. Tracks correspondence and/or packages and follows up as needed. Orders supplies and maintains departmental supply inventory. Facilities Management (FM) maintains and operates approximately 53 buildings which include the State House, Capitol Complex Office Buildings, the Governor’s Mansion, and other buildings in the Columbia area. In this role you will provide building maintenance services in all Admin owned, contracted and maintained buildings to minimize unexpected and premature equipment failures in accordance with established policies, procedures and good work practices and to ensure contracted and maintained buildings are in safe working order and compliant with codes and regulations. Responsibilities of the General Maintenance Technician III: Complete assigned maintenance and repair of renovation tasks. Complete assigned maintenance, repair, painting and general maintenance of building tasks. Perform housekeeping duties as assigned to maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment in mechanical and electrical rooms. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Communicate professionally to leadership, employees, stakeholders and the general public regarding necessary work status updates and other key information on the status of building conditions. Knowledge of or ability to learn national and local regulations and code requirements relating to position. Ability to understand and follow directions and safety procedures. Knowledge and skill in the use, care, and safe handling of hand and power tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in maintenance. Knowledge of particular trade such as carpentry, locksmith, electricity, HVAC, plumbing, boiler operation and energy plan operation.
