IT SECURITY ANALYST POSITION SUMMARY The IT Security Analyst develops and implements the IT Security program and monitoring, as well as ensure compliance with our policies and procedures. The IT Security Analyst directs programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business units comply with corporate, client, and government policies and reporting regulations. Tracks laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies and implements necessary changes. Investigates IT security issues and directs the appropriate action or responses to ensure alignment with company policy and contract obligations. Responsible for actively gathering and collecting the necessary evidence for security assessments and audits and coordinates the implementation and compliance with remediation efforts and corrective action plans, as needed. The IT Security Analyst will play an integral role in the operations by advising internal stakeholders and building strong working relationship. The IT Security Analyst will work with cross-functional teams across the organization to establish an enterprise-wide culture of IT security and risk mitigation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Promotes and drives risk awareness, management, and governance corporate-wide as it relates to technology and business-related operational risks. Modifies information security and operations policies & procedures when necessary; prepare and administers the related training. Reviews analyze and make recommendations regarding the design and implementation of the operational risk management framework as applicable and required for technology risk mitigation. Conduct periodic audits and design control systems to ensure adherence. Reviewing and assessing the security architecture of IT systems and applications to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements. Stays current in technology-specific risk management techniques, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements, such as HITRUST. Assisting in the design, implementation, and management of security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, application gateways, and encryption mechanisms within Microsoft Azure. Prepares IT-related business continuity and disaster recovery documentation and participates with coordinated reporting as requested. Lead cross-disciplinary teams supporting organizational risk goals and objectives to drive clarity as to potential areas of material technology risk. Conduct and support security assessments, risk assessments, auditing, monitoring, and investigations, participate in contract reviews and other IT Security activities. Develop KPIs for measuring and improving the effectiveness of the overall information security and business-related operational programs. Apply best practices, develop continuous improvement plans, and make recommendations based upon employee and customer insights. QUALIFICATIONS Education – Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year College or university in computer sciences, MIS, or other related field; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, or Azure Security related certifications are a plus. Experience – 3+ years of relevant experience working in IT Security, cyber security, IT compliance, or a related field. Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to draft company policies and SOPs, and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, staff, and external contacts.
