Job Responsibilities: · Help design and implement inclusive policies and procedures to meet the needs of all participants. · Review all IEP and 504 · Develop individual support plans (ISP) for children requiring accommodations in collaboration with families and other stakeholders. · Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion strategies and adapt as necessary. · Train and coach BGC staff on inclusive practices, behavioral management, and effective communication strategies. · Provide ongoing support to staff to ensure they can effectively address the needs of children with diverse abilities. · Facilitate professional development workshops focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. · Advocate for children with disabilities and work with families to address concerns and align support strategies. · Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to align after-school support with day-time services. · Inclusion Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for families of children with unique needs, ensuring open and effective communication. · Inclusion Manager will ensure all paperwork for each member is on file and properly stored in file cabinets at each BGCM site. · Ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies related to disability inclusion (e.g., ADA, IDEA). · Maintain accurate documentation, including support plans, incident reports, and progress notes. · Assist in program enrollment by conducting assessments to determine appropriate accommodation and supports. · Speak on behalf of BGC in principal, district, and parent meetings. · Partner with community organizations, schools, and specialists to enhance program offerings. · Lead inclusion-related initiatives to promote awareness and understanding among all program participants. · Other duties as assigned. Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities while at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, standing, and ability to implement programs. Skills essential for success include speaking, writing and knowledge of the computer. EnvironmentWorking Conditions: After school/Recreational settings that include being in/out doors. Occasional weekend and evening work to support organization's fundraising events and activities.
