Summary Providing superior customer service to internal and external customers, assist in maintaining the Friction Center office area to ensure that the office is run in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. CONFIDENTIALITY: Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource records and sensitive employee information, including Social Security numbers, performance review, workplace injury reports, background checks, health-related information, pay records, etc. Duties & Responsibilities • Answer and return phone calls in a professional manner, process/enter customer orders, assist customers with non-technical questions. • Accurate and prompt data entry of customers credits, core bank administration, and Bills of Lading, and Purchasing Card expense coding. • Maintain and reconcile petty cash. • Filing of internal reports, receiving reports and other administrative functions. • Maintain time and attendance tracking and reporting in accordance with all policies and laws. • Assist the Friction Center Manager with new hire orientation and paperwork, termination checklists, workers compensation, and leave of absence administration. • Provides support and works closely with Corporate HR, as needed. • Perform additional duties as required. In this position you will be responsible for the following: Perform complex maintenance and repair tasks in such areas as carpentry, electricity, heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC), or plumbing. Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is maintained and safe for use and perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled. Make recommendations for needed repairs that will be completed by outside vendors. Oversee installations and repairs that are completed by outside vendors. Document maintenance schedules as tasks are completed and ensure future scheduling is noted. Provide updates to supervisor and stakeholders on work orders. Maintain landscape outside the scope of contracted services and upkeep in between services for the state grounds. Assist with surplus items and documentation. Assist with inventory control and make necessary purchases for projects. Any additional projects and assignments as required. Minimum and Additional Requirements • High school diploma and two years of relevant trade experience. • HVAC Certification. • Knowledge of principles, methods, techniques, tools and equipment used in installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery. The incumbent must be able to meet the physical demands of this position that involve balancing, bending, climbing, grasping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. May be required to work outside the normal work week schedule due to emergencies or inclement weather. Frequent travel within the state.
